Mrs. Arie Cobb



MIDVILLE, Ga. - Mrs. Arie Lee Gresham Cobb, 70, of Cobb Road, died Monday, June 26, 2000, at University Hospital, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Straight Gate Church of God with the Revs. Roosevelt Moss and Hardrick Griffin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Cobb, a native of Keysville, had retired as a seamstress from Jockey International, Millen, and was a member of Straight Gate Church of God, where she was a soloist, missionary, Sunday school teacher and secretary of the missionary department.

Survivors include eight sons, John Cobb Jr., Fayetteville, N.C., Carl Andrew Cobb, Savannah, Clyde Cobb, Atlanta, Larry D. Cobb and Tyrone S. Cobb, both of Millen, Michael W. Cobb, Waynesboro, Ulysses Cobb, Midville, and Gregory Cobb, Huntsville, Ala.; five daughters, Geraldine Hunter and Patricia Cobb, both of Detroit, Helen Elizabeth Evans, Waynesboro, Charlene Cobb Jackson, Florence, Ky., and Georgia Plummer, Midville; two brothers, Bernard Gresham, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Oscar Gresham Jr., Midville; five sisters, Ruby Scott, Philadelphia, and Johnnie Jeffers, Ida Gresham, Estelle Gresham and Nell Gresham, all of Waynesboro; and 45 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Cobb Jr., Carl Andrew Cobb, Clyde Cobb, Larry D. Cobb, Tyrone Cobb, Ulysses Cobb, Gregory Cobb and Michael Cobb.

Friends may call at the residence or at Hudson Mortuary, Wadley.
