Mrs. Christine Van Haltern



DECATUR, Ga. - Mrs. Christine "Chris" Van Haltern, 73, died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, at her residence.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at H.M. Patterson and Son Funeral Home, Atlanta. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Lanes Primitive Baptist Church, Stilson, with Harold McElveen officiating.

Mrs. Van Haltern, a native of Bulloch County, had retired as a bookkeeper from Atlanta OB/GYN after 25 years and was a member of Lanes Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Van Haltern Jr., Decatur; a son, Frank Van Haltern III, Decatur; a daughter Leslie Van Haltern, Decatur; three brothers, Joel Driggers, Stilson, Dan Driggers, East Palatka, Fla., and Calvin Driggers, Meridian, Miss.; three sisters, Launa Bryant, Stilson, Katherine Evans, Apollo Beach, Fla., and Carolyn Cox, Statesboro; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 10 p.m. today at H.M. Patterson Funeral Home.
