Mr. Jack Weathers, 75, of Reedale Ave., died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road, with the Rev. Tony Christie officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Weathers, a native of Augusta, had retired as a teacher from Gracewood State School and Hospital. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church, where he was a member of Bagby Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Weathers; a brother, Richard Weathers, Augusta; a sister, Janet Ford, Martinez; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Zack Patrick, Charlie Lass, Bob Richards, Joe McKinney, Kenneth Davis and Andy Brown.
Memorials may be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church Building Fund, 4943 Columbia Road, Grovetown, GA 30813; or to St. Joseph Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA 30904-0026.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
