Mrs. Ellen Rooks



WRENS, Ga. - Mrs. Ellen Hadden Rooks, 69, of Braswell Street, died Friday, May 19, 2000, at St. Joseph Hospital, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at James Funeral Home with Drs. Ben Martin and Donald Lumpkin officiating. Burial will be in Waldens United Methodist Church Cemetery, Avera.

Mrs. Rooks, a native of Jefferson County, was a homemaker and a member of Wrens United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Greg Rooks, Atlanta, and Glenn Rooks, Wrens; a daughter, Roxanne Rooks, Milledgeville; her mother, Janie Hadden; two brothers, Lester Hadden, Wrens, and Tom Hadden, Crestview, Fla.; a sister, Mary H. McGahee, Aiken; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Guy McGahee, Charles McGahee, Tommy Norton Jr., Durham Milburn, Bobby Braswell and Robert Cowart.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
