Mr. David F. Franklin, 82, of Trafalgar Lane, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at University Hospital.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with the Revs. P. James Costigan and Allan J. McDonald officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Mr. Franklin had retired as an administrator from DuPont and was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was a Better Business Bureau arbitrator and a member of Beech Island Agricultural Club, Augusta Genealogical Society and Augusta Audubon Society. He was a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital, former president of Eagles Nest Timeshares, Sky Valley, and a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, France Watkins Franklin; two sons, John Reese Franklin, Nashville, and L. Wayne Griffin, Martinez; a daughter, Dena T. Griffin, Martinez; two brothers, Neal Franklin and Tink Franklin, both of Birmingham, Ala.; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chris W. Griffin, Chris Williams, Thomas H. Roberts and Lou Ferrante.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue.
