WRENS, Ga. - Mrs. Mattie Hannah, 86, of Center Street, died Thursday, May 11, 2000, at Burke County Hospital, Waynesboro.
The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Stapleton, with the Rev. Frank Seabrooks officiating. Burial will be in Vinning Cemetery, Stapleton.
Mrs. Hannah, a native of Jefferson County, was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.
The family said, "She was a loving, caring and sweet mother and grandmother."
Survivors include two sons, Cephus Hannah, Tallassee, Ala., and Marshall Hannah, Wrens; five daughters, Bobbie Farmer, Margaret Nelson, Junita Hannah and Dianne Hannah, all of Wrens, and Shirley Bell, Belary, N.J.; three brothers, John Willie Hannah and Rosevelt Hannah, both of Camay, N.J., and Leroy Hannah, Columbia; three sisters, Carrie Goldwire, Bronson, Fla., Lillie Mae Richardson, Camay, and Ariena Artis, Columbia; and 41 grandchildren, 93 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the residence or at Burnett Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
