SANDERSVILLE, Ga. - Mr. William James, 55, of Floyd Street, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. James, a native of Washington County, was a truck driver and a member of Henderson Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Haynes James; two sons, Wesley James and Linwood Jordan, both of Sandersville; two daughters, Carol Jackson and Contrinia Dixon, both of Sandersville; 10 brothers, Melvin James, Anniston, Ala., Cleveland James, Macon, Marshall James, Hephzibah, Tommy James, Atlanta, Alton James, El Paso, Texas, Grady James, Omaha, Neb., and Charlie Willie James, Benny James, Walter James and Billy James, all of Sandersville; a sister, Edith Coleman, Bristol, Pa.; and 11 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Cleveland James, Milton Maze, John Swint III, Benny F, James, Paul Haynes and Clay Williams.
M.C. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
