Our Columbia County state Rep. Ben Harbin votes to spend lottery money in the amount of $1.75 million for "enhancements" to the Harriett Tubman Museum in Macon.
I find this disgusting, for such a vote violates the intended use of the lottery money and betrays the public trust of all Georgia citizens when it comes to doing the right thing.
What further angers me and others is that while Mr. Harbin supports museum funding, there are schools in Georgia with inadequate science, biology, chemistry and physics labs. Obviously, Mr. Harbin's priorities are either out of whack or he traded his vote for a favor or political gain. He needs to go now.
