Mrs. Christine Patten Grimes, 82, of Evans, died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at University Hospital.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue, with the Rev. Neal Phelps officiating. Entombment will be in Westover Mausoleum.
Mrs. Grimes, a native of Quitman, had retired as a registered nurse and was a former director of nursing at Brooks County Hospital and Presbyterian Home, Quitman.
Survivors include a son, Buzz Patten, Aspen, Colo.; two daughters, Lynda Brett, Augusta, and Vicki Williamson, Lexington, S.C.; a brother, J.T. Underwood, Brigham City, Utah; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Brett, Brent Williamson, Preston Moss, David Williamson, Chris Skelton and Chris Nicholson.
Memorials may be made to the Clay Mitchell Skelton Scholarship Fund at Augusta State University, Department of Development, 2500 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30910.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home and at the residence of Preston and Traci Moss, 3409 Walton Way, after the funeral service.
