Mr. Claude E. Davis Jr., 86, of Dogwood Lane, died Tuesday, April 25, 2000, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church with Dr. Jeffrey Newlin and Chaplain Wayne Bruner officiating. Entombment will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Westover Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Mr. Davis, a native of Fair Oaks, Pa., had retired as a sales executive from Liquid Air Corp. He had organized and operated Bethlehem Steel Co. and Welding School. He was a life member of Ambridge Masonic Lodge 701 and a member of Pittsburg Consistory, Syria Shrine, Augusta Country Club, American Welding Society, National Welding Supply Association, Rotary Club of Augusta and Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, where he was a deacon, elder and former church officer.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Roland Davis; a daughter, Sandra Lea Davis, Augusta; a stepson, Eddie Roland, Augusta; a stepdaughter, Sandra R. Sykes, Marietta; and four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be James Blissett, Trez Bolick, Arlie Mansberger, Guy Benjamin, Levings Laney, Russell Blanchard and Robert Rodman.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Poteet Funeral Home, Wheeler Road.
