On the April 20 front page of The Chronicle was the phrase: "Astronaut's mission involves speaking to hungry students."
After reading the article on Page 7B, I would have not used the adjective "hungry" to describe the students' behavior. Rude, disrespectful, discourteous, embarrassing, immature, childish, unmannerly, impolite and impudent are a few that come to mind.
However descriptive these adjectives may have been for a few members of the audience, I am sure they don't represent the majority of the well-mannered, polite, mature, respectful and maybe "hungry" students.
Don't label the whole because of the actions of a few. Personally, I don't believe their actions deserved publication; however, if you choose to do so, don't make back alley heroes out of the asinine by sugar-coating their actions. Call them what they are; print their names; make their parents proud.
