OGAWA, Japan -- Junko Yasui shot a six-under par 66 Friday to take a one stroke lead after the first round of the Nasu Ogawa Ladies tournament.
Yasui, seeking her first victory of the season and 13th of her career, started the day with two birdies before a bogey on the third hole. She added five more birdies on the rain-soaked 6,150-yard, Nasu Ogawa Golf Club.
Kasumi Fujii, yet to win in four full seasons as a pro, had nine birdies, including six straight on the backside. But she had four bogeys and settled for a 67.
