COLUMBUS, Ga. -- The Columbus RedStixx rebounded from Thursday night's loss to the Augusta GreenJackets, scoring five runs in the first four innings and piling it on in the eighth inning for a 10-3 South Atlantic League baseball victory Friday night.
The GreenJackets (4-12) scored a pair of runs in the fourth inning and tacked on one more in the sixth.
Augusta returns home today to play Asheville in the first game of a four-game series at Lake Olmstead Stadium. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
First baseman Luis Garcia knocked in two of the GreenJackets' three runs and Patrick Santoro had one RBI.
Left-hander Wilfredo Ledezma took the loss for Augusta, going only three innings before being relieved by Alexander Solano. Jason Bottenfield finished up.
