Skyfest 2000 was very poorly planned.
I was one of many people who was turned away with prepaid tickets. I feel the planners deliberately overbooked the show so that people would not be able to enter and attend.
If advance tickets are not a guarantee of getting into a show, then the people who plan an event like this need not bother selling them. Also, since this was the beginning of Masters week, this show should have been held at a different time. It is true that these tickets clearly stated "no refund" on them but I feel this sale, knowing many tickets would not be used, should never have been done.
I returned to the air show at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Sunday after church services and the road going into the show was blocked by the sheriff. I understand the safety reasons for blocking off the area. Needless to say, my daughter was very disappointed.
Sunday's show should have been delayed until about 1:30 p.m. to allow for people going to church.
