Mr. Richard Lamar Magruder, 93, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at University Hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terry Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park.
Mr. Magruder, a native of Columbia County, had retired as a vice president from Fine Products Inc. He was a graduate of Academy of Richmond County High School and Mercer University. He was a member of Downtown Kiwanis Club, Augusta Country Club and St. John United Methodist Church, where he was a member of Henry Bible Class.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Fiske Magruder; a son, Richard L. Magruder Jr., Augusta; a daughter, Carolyn Magruder Ruppenthal, Charlotte, N.C.; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Robert Ruppenthal, Jeffrey Weir Ruppenthal, William White Barrett Jr., Steven Fiske Ruppenthal, Andrew Marshall Magruder and George Milton Magruder.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Henry Bible Class.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the residence.
