Mr. John Hunnicutt



STATESBORO, Ga. - Mr. John R. Hunnicutt, 77, died Sunday, April 2, 2000, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Warren Williams officiating. Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Hunnicutt, a native of Laurens County, had retired as a farmer and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a former member of Statesboro Hunting Club and a member of Thompson's Pasture Hunting Club. He was a member of Brooklet United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Roundtree Hunnicutt; a son, Charles T. Hunnicutt, Statesboro, three daughters, Ann H. Gillis, Hoboken, and Janice Davis and Donna Tucker, both of Statesboro; two brothers, R. Darrel Hunnicutt and Ray Hunnicutt, both of Brooklet; five sisters, Sue H. Porter, Savannah, Lavern McBride, Statesboro, Lavon King, Sebring, Fla., Betty Powell, Sylvania, and Helen Russell, Bervard, N.C.; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Akins, Bill Akins, Daniel Luckett, Lee Luckett, Romaine Broadford and Rusty Marsh.

Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 10 Forest Pines Drive, Statesboro, GA 30458.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.
