Ms. Alisha Catchings Myers, 24, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, in Savannah.
Memorial services will be held at noon Wednesday at Platt's Funeral Home, Belair Road. Burial will be private.
Ms. Myers, a native of Augusta, was a receptionist for Alltel Communications and Home Folks Warehouse Inc. She was a member of Trinity-on-the-Hill United Methodist Church.
The family said: "Though you're gone, you'll never be forgotten by your son, mother and dad, your brother and grandparents."
Survivors include a son, Cole Winston, Augusta; her parents, Ed and Brenda Catchings, Evans; a brother, Christopher Edward Catchings, Evans; her paternal grandmother, Florence Slockett Catchings, Belvedere; and her maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Betty Orrell, Atlanta.
Memorials may be made to Mayor's Committee for the Employment of People with Disabilities, Division of Rehab Services, 3112-A Washington Road, Augusta, GA 30907.
The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. Wednesday and after the service at the funeral home.
