Mr. Broadus Watson Sr.



AIKEN -- Mr. Broadus E. Watson Sr., 74, of Boardman Road, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Rivers Funeral Home with the Revs. Garrett M. Clanton and Larry Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery, Enoree.

Mr. Watson, a native of Enoree, was former owner of Watson's Clothing Store and had retired as a health physics inspector from DuPont and as a captain from the Army. He attended The Citadel and graduated from Presbyterian College. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5877, Bernard E. Bee Camp of Sons of Confederate Veterans, American Legion Post 71 and All Saints Anglican Church.

Survivors include a son, Broadus E. Watson Jr., Peachtree City, Ga.; a daughter, Malinda W. Doherty, Aiken; and five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Sanders, Jim Sanders, Mike Ewing, Steve McNorrill, Eric Ebert and John Czerwinski.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Rivers Funeral Home.
