Mr. Lewis Williams



Mr. C. Lewis Williams, 97, of Terrace Road, died Friday, March 17, 2000, at Doctors Hospital.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bethany Chapel with Bill Gustafson officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park.

Mr. Williams, a native of Gibson, had retired as shipping and receiving manager from Enterprise Mill. He was a former pitcher for a minor league baseball team and a member of Bethany Chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Ressie Senn Williams; a son, Daniel R. Williams, Augusta; a daughter, Jean Williams Godin, Augusta; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Larry Williams, Rick Williams, Scott Kane, James Arnett, Henry Horton and Harold Mobley.

Memorials may be made to Bethany Chapel, 401 Milledge Road, Augusta, GA 30904.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the residence of Jean Williams Godin, 3132 Walton Way, Augusta.

Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue, is in charge of arrangements.
