HAMAOKA, Japan -- Hidemichi Tanaka shot a 2-under par 70 on Saturday and was tied for the lead with veteran Atsushi Murota going into the final round of the Dydo-Drinco Shizuoka Open.
Tanaka had four birdies after a disappointing double-bogey on the second hole over the 6,897-yard, par-72 Shizuoka Country Hamaoka Course in western Japan, bringing his 64-hole total to 10-under 206.
Murota, an 18-year pro, scattered two birdies against one bogey for a 1-under 71.
Australian Steven Conran shot a 73 and was tied for fourth at four-under while American Todd Hamilton had an even-par 72, slipping to 11th at two-under.
The winner will receive $189,000.
