Your two recent editorials concerning the Augusta History Museum speak volumes as to the need for the entire Central Savannah River Area community to support our museum.
The museum staff, trustees and members have worked very hard over the last several years to upgrade the exhibits, programs and goodwill that are needed to put our museum on a more firm footing.
That now having been accomplished, it is essential that the Augusta-Richmond County Commission fully fund at least $300,000 yearly to continue these laudable efforts. Our museum is, indeed, a first class institution and we should all endeavor to keep it that way.
