KEYSVILLE, Ga. -- Mr. Henry Stephens Sr., of Stephens Road, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at Burke County Hospital, Waynesboro.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Noah's Ark Baptist Church with the Revs. Karlton Howard and J.J. Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Stephens, a native of Burke County, had retired as a farmer. He was an organizer of Georgia Farmers Co-op, Senior Citizens Center and Meals on Wheels. He was a member of Noah's Ark Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, former chief of the usher board and former treasurer.
Survivors include five sons, Eugene M. Stephens and Franklin D. Stephens Sr., both of Keysville, Robert A. Stephens, Augusta, Richard Stephens, Hephzibah, and Dwight Stephens, Lilburn; a daughter, Loretta M. Adderson, Lake Orion, Mich.; two sisters, Annie Mae Turner and Eleanor Weiss, both of Detroit; and 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Burke County Sheriff's Department Honor Guard.
