Mrs. Betty Collins



WRENS, Ga. -- Mrs. Betty Collins, 63, of Georgia Highway 17, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at Gibson Nursing Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at James Funeral Home with the Revs. Tom Howard and Kenneth Jones officiating. Burial will be in Wrens City Cemetery.

Mrs. Collins, a native of Burke County, was a homemaker and a member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church.

The family said, "She was a good mother and a beloved sister."

Survivors include a son, Jim Collins, Reidsville; two brothers, Hayden Howell, Wrens, and Henry Howell, Lily; and three sisters, Carol McDonald, North Augusta, and Rea Davis and Alma Oliphant, both of Wrens.

Pallbearers will be Barry McDonald, Wayne Davis Jr., Brandon Davis, Billy Oliphant, Tommy Oliphant and Ronnie Akridge.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at James Funeral Home.
