Mr. Irving G. Knox Sr., 83, of Appling, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at University Hospital, Augusta.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Kiokee Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Hartman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Knox, a native of Columbia County, had retired as a Columbia County wildlife ranger from the Department of Natural Resources in 1976. He was a member of Kiokee Baptist Church, where he was a member of Mattie Pollard Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Mera Kate Knox; three sons, James I. Knox, and Irving G. Knox Jr. both of Appling, and Ronald E. Knox, Augusta; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shad Knox, Brad Collins, Chris Knox, Clay Walden, Brandon Knox, Ryan Knox and Manny Dalis.

Friends may call at the residence of James I. Knox, 5496 Whiteoak Road.
