APPLING - Mr. Irving G. Knox Sr., 83, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at University Hospital, Augusta.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Kiokee Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Hartman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Knox, a native of CoColumbia County, had retired as a Columbia County wild life ranger from the Department of Natural Resources from 1954 to 1976 . He was a member of Kiokee Baptist Church, where he was a member of Mattie Pollard Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Mera Kate Knox; three sons, James I. Knox, Irving G. Knox Jr. and Ronald E. Knox, all of Appling; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shad Knox, Brad Collins, Chris Collins, Clay Walden, Brandon Knox, Ryan Knox and Manny Dalis.

Friends may call at the residence of James I. Knox, 5496 Whiteoak Road.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Starling Funeral Home, Harlem.
