Other than that they were wearing all black and wielding two pistols, little is known about the two men who broke into Rhodes Furniture store and robbed two employees Saturday.
Richmond County Sheriff's Department said a male and a female employee at the store on Wrightsboro Road near Augusta Mall were closing up at about 9 p.m. and had locked the front door. While they were in the back doing paperwork, two men wearing black pants, black hooded sweat shirts and black gloves punched out a windowpane in the front door, reached inside and turned the locks, Investigator Mark Bowen said.
The gunmen then strode through the showroom and robbed the workers of the store's money, police said.
Neither victim was injured, and because they remained in the back of the store as the robbers fled, they did not see which way the men ran or whether they left in a vehicle, Investigator Bowen said.
Anyone with additional information is urged to call Investigator Bowen or Investigator Bill Walker at 821-1020.
