Mrs. Lucille D. Gillis, of Tate Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. C.J. Shuford officiating. Burial will be in Lovett Cemetery, Screven County.
Mrs. Gillis, a native of Screven County, had retired from University Hospital. She was the district director of Children for Christian Education. She was a member of Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the deaconess board, Busy Bee Club and WHOM Society.
Survivors include her husband, Willie L. Gillis; three sons, Joseph E. Memminger, Clearwater, and Larry Memminger and Gregory Memminger, both of Augusta; two daughters, Polly Anna Memminger, Augusta, and Revonica Daniels, Walterboro, S.C.; two brothers, Eddie L. Danford, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Jeff Stewart Jr., Augusta; a sister, Lula M. Moultrie, Savannah; and eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her nephews and grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of deaconess board and officers of Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church.
