LINCOLNTON, Ga. -- The Rev. Tommy Lee Blackwell, of Elberton Highway, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at Wills Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Revs. Matthew Harden and Roy D. Andrew officiating. Burial will be in New Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Rev. Blackwell, a native of Lincoln County, was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of New Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rosella Blackwell; two sons, Walter Blackwell and Thomas Blackwell, both of Lincolnton; a daughter, Sarah Holloway, Portal; a brother, Nesh Blackwell, Greensboro, N.C.; two sisters, Hester Harris, Greensboro, and Thenia Jenkins, Danburg; and eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Holloway, Shawn Holloway, Traviallis Blackwell, Manaah Blackwell, Mack Blackwell Jr., Leroy Solomon and Joseph Solomon.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of New Tabernacle Baptist Church.
