JEWEL, Ga. -- Mrs. Mildred Darnell Lewis Kendrick died Tuesday, February 8, 2000 at the residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Christian Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Robert L. Davenport officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Kendrick, a native of Hancock County, was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, where she was a member of stewardess board, treasurer, past benevolent treasurer, member of board of Christian education, a member of Sunday school and served with Women's Missionary Society.
The family said: "She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She will be missed dearly."
Survivors include her husband John Welbia Kendrick, Sr.; four sons John W. Kendrick, Jr., Warrenton; Emettress Kendrick and Clarence Kendrick both of Augusta; and Stanley Kendrick, Thomson; a daughter, Mildred Darnell Kendrick; two brothers, Joseph H. Lewis, Spartanburg, S.C., Jasper Lewis, Jr, Cincinnati; a sister, Madie Bell Nicholson, Philadelphia; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the residence or at Ingram Brothers Funeral Home.
