AIKEN -- Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Whittle Hydrick, 79, of Yemassee Avenue, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John's United Methodist Church with the Revs. Sheila Rogers, Ken Nelson and John W. Hipp officiating.
Mrs. Hydrick, a native of Graniteville, was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, where she was a member of Katie Williams Bible Class.
The family said, "Known to many as Miz Mary, she was a loving wife and mother and an avid sports fan."
Survivors include her husband, Ray Philip Hydrick; two sons, Phil Hydrick, Myrtle Beach, and Dennis Hydrick, Aiken; two daughters, Louisa Gantt, Batesburg-Leesville, and Marcia Foreman, North Augusta; and eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Philip V. Hydrick, Ashley S. Hydrick, Carla M. Howard, Courtney Gantt, R. Barron Gantt, R. Seth Hydrick, A. Ashley Foreman and Lindsey Foreman.
Memorials may be made to St. John's United Methodist Church Building Fund, or to Alzheimer's Association.
Friends may call at the residence.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at George Funeral Homes, downtown.
