Mrs. Ann Jones Blanchard, 76, of Martinez, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at her residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Columbia Road, with Dr. Frank S. Page officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown.
Mrs. Blanchard, a native of Louisville, had retired as an elementary schoolteacher, after 25 years in Columbia County schools. She was a member of Retired Women Educators Sorority, Alpha Delta Kappa and was a graduate of Middle Georgia College, Milledgeville. She was a member of Warren Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Pierce Blanchard; three daughters, Mary Ann Mead, Martinez, Rebecca Jean Miller, Harlem, and Jamie Claudia Johnson, Evans; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Lewis, John Lewis, Kenneth Lewis, Jimmy McNair, James Anderson, Stanley Anderson, Whit Blanchard and Edwin Blanchard.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.The Augusta Chronicle Jan. 26, 2000
