It was reported that there was a scheduling conflict at the Civic Center and, due to this, the circus would not be coming this year. (The ice would have to be taken up and this would interfere with the hockey team.)
I understood when this hockey team came to Augusta that this would not be a problem. Why is it one now? If Mayor Bob Young can spend $25,000 dollars to get the Blue Angels to Augusta for the big kids, why not do something for the little children?
A child who attended last year asks about once a month when the circus is coming to town again. Perhaps someone can put as much effort into getting a circus for the children as there was for getting the Blue Angels.
