Mrs. Martha L. Cooper, 72, of Kroger Road, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, Windemere Healthcare Facility.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Portersville Baptist Church, Waynesboro, with the Rev. David Reese officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Cooper, a native of Waynesboro, had retired as a nurse's assistant. She was a member of Portersville Baptist Church, where she was a member of Pastor's Aide Club, missionary service and choir.
Survivors include five sons, Calvin Cooper, Alvin Cooper, Milton Cooper, and Harold Cooper, all of Augusta, and Jackie Cooper, Atlanta; four daughters, Lillie H. Williams, Jessie Weston, Jo Ann Goodwin and Bernice Brown, all of Augusta; two sisters, Rutha Mae Sams and Irene Sams, both of Augusta; and 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Friends may call at the residence of Bernice Brown, Koger Road.
