Mr. Richard W. McLeod, 75, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Columbia Road, with the Rev. Gary Cannell officiating.
Mr. McLeod, a native of Geneva, Ala., had retired as an aeronautical engineer with Lockheed. He was an Army infantry veteran of World War II and a graduate of University of Florida. He worked with the Army Corp of Engineers and as a private consultant before retiring. He was a member of American Legion Post 63, Augusta, and was Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo McLeod; four daughters, Melody Mosby, Comer, Jean Norman, Moultrie, Lauren McLeod, San Francisco, and Carol McLeod, Harlem; a stepson, Crawford Jackson, Augusta; two stepdaughters, Yvonne Thompson and Wanda Jackson, both of Martinez; a sister, Catherine Smith, Dothan, Ala.; and nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA 30904.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
