HARLEM -- Mr. Earnest Lamb Sr., of Stone Street, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Water Branch Baptist Church, Grovetown, with the Rev. L.J. Tanksley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Lamb, a native of Columbia County, had retired from Fort Gordon. He was a deacon at Water Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Ernest Lamb Jr., Donald Lamb and Sylvester Lamb, all of Augusta, and Gary Lamb, Atlanta; four daughters, Betty Richards, Harlem, and Patricia Davis, Margaret Lamb and Gussie Boyd, all of Augusta; a brother, George Lamb, Augusta; and 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Alonzo Lamb, Gregory Richards, Michael Richards, Calvin Richards, Michael Avery and Clifford Brinson.
Friends may call at the residence of Betty Richards, 245 South Bell St., Harlem.
