Loss drops Tigers below .500 plateau



CLEMSON, S.C. -- Guards Bernard Barrow, SirValiant Brown and Chris Monroe combined for 78 points and 14 3-point baskets as George Washington beat Clemson 90-71 Wednesday.

Barrow netted 28, Brown 27 and Monroe 23 as the Colonials improved to 5-5 and gained their 12th win in 14 tries against the Tigers, who fell to 5-6.

The Colonials' efforts were aided by two Clemson technical fouls, the first on head coach Larry Shyatt for questioning a call and the second on Ray Henderson for a taunting gesture.
