Mr. Willis James Bridges, 87, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Luke United Methodist Church with the Rev. JoAnn Pence officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Bridges, a native of Greensboro, had retired as an appliance repairman. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Ann Cason, Macon; a brother, Calvin Bridges, Washington; and three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Hamilton, Jimmy Bridges, Steven Bridges, Bruce Alford, Larry Hall and Phil Williams.
Memorials may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church Nursery Fund, 309 Crawford Ave., Augusta, GA 30904; or to St. Joseph Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA 30904.
Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue, is in charge of arrangements.
