C. Hamilton expresses concern about students grading teachers (letter, Dec. 16). Why assume that students neither like their teachers not are capable of giving constructive feedback? Teachers who value their students are sensitive to the learning environment and the learning experience for each student. Feedback from the students is crucial for teachers to insure that learning goals are being met.
My greater concern is that the students have not been taught how to give constructive feedback, either by their being told that their opinion is of no value, or by poor examples by parents and teachers.
