NEW YORK -- It will be easier for WNBA teams to make trades under rules announced Tuesday.
"Unbalanced" trades will be allowed, provided the number of players on any side of the deal does not exceed players on the other side of the transaction by more than one.
Picks in the 2000 WNBA draft can be traded provided the team trading the pick or picks retains at least two draft choices.
Contingent trades between existing teams and next year's expansion draft will be permitted until 5 p.m. EST Tuesday, Dec. 14.
