AIKEN -- Mrs. Lillian Blumenthal, 79, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at her residence.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sons of Israel Cemetery.
Mrs. Blumenthal, a native of Bronx, N.Y., was an administrative manager. She was involved in Project Headstart and was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Women's Army Corps.
The family said; "She was a loving wife, mother, nanny, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who was committed to her family and giving to all in need."
Survivors include a son, Lon Blumenthal, Buffalo Grove, Ill.; a daughter, Susan Varallo, Aiken; two brothers, Hy Glassman, Manchester, Vt., and Murray Glassman, Georgetown, Colo.; four sisters, Arlene Capasso and Frances Glassman, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Helen Baron and Sylvia Lanky, both of Pembroke, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
George Funeral Homes, Park Avenue, is in charge of arrangements.
