Mr. George Lindsey



TIGNALL, Ga. -- Mr. George Bennie Lindsey, 85, of Jones Chapel Road, died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, at Wills Memorial Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Fishing Creek Baptist Cemetery, Tignall, with the Revs. Roy Cates and John McPherson officiating.

Mr. Lindsey, a native of Wilkes County, was a farmer and had retired from Royal Manufacturing Co. He was a member of Fishing Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Bessie Standard Lindsey; two sons, David B. Lindsey and Kenneth Lindsey, both of Washington; a daughter, Melanie L. Sammons, Sylvania; a brother, Herman Wilkes, Surrency; two sisters, Lucy Wilkes Chapman, Morena, and Frances Wilkes; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dave Lindsey, Jason Smith, Darrell Standard, Tim Standard, Barry Denard and Brian Denard.
