Advice Line back on track

Well, the votes are in, and readers want to keep Advice Line in Xtreme. The final tally was 131 votes to keep and 32 to dump.

Thanks to all who voted.

Here are a few guidelines about Advice Line:

  • Please refrain from using profanity or abusive language. (I'm not your punching bag.)

  • Speak clearly when you state your problem or give advice. Turn down background music or the television.
  • Don't forget to leave your age and the town you live in if you have a problem. It's not necessary if you're giving advice.
  • Although we appreciate adults calling in, the Advice Line is meant for teens. Adults who wish to offer advice or referrals should call Margaret Weston at 823-3340 or e-mail to mweston@augustachronicle.com

    Here's the drill:

If you have a problem, either at school, home or with friends, call the Advice Line at 442-4444 and press 8613. You'll have one minute to give us your situation. Please state your age and the town you live in.

If you have advice to give the teen caller, call 442-4444 and press 8614. You'll have one minute to answer.

    Now here's this week's problem:

"Last year I really liked this girl and told her how I felt. She turned me down, and it really hurt. But this year I think I still like her."

Do you have any advice for this 15-year-old Augusta boy?
