PRODUCT RECALL: About 230,000 bottles of Scrub Free Daily Shower Cleaner and Scrub Free Daily Shower Spray are being recalled because the bottles may contain a bacteria that could cause respiratory or other infections in individuals with chronic health problems or impaired immune systems.
The Shower Cleaner and Shower Spray come in 32-ounce bottles. The Shower Spray also comes in a 64-ounce refill bottle. They were sold from May through Oct. 4 at supermarket, drug and discount stores nationwide for $2-$4.
If you bought the cleaner or the spray during that time, you should stop using it immediately. Call (800) 286-9055 to receive a coupon for a free replacement bottle of any Scrub Free product. Information on the recall also is available at www.benckiser.com
TV TODAY: The 100th episode of 3rd Rock From the Sun airs tonight at 8:30 on NBC (WAGT-TV, Channel 26). Dick matches wits with a faux Scotland Yard sleuth (Billy Connolly) while Harry makes nice with a suspect at a murder-mystery weekend. Just one problem: The Solomons are unaware that the deaths are staged.
FINDING YOUR ROOTS: Alice Walker of the East Central Georgia Regional Library will present a free workshop on Internet-driven genealogy research at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Gibbs Library. Space is limited. Call 863-1946 to register.
ON THE SMALL SCREEN: Even directors Alfred Hitchcock and Steven Spielberg started small. This month Charged, www.charged.com, the Internet leisure magazine, is offering aspiring filmmakers with small budgets and smaller attention spans a chance to submit a film or video of less than one minute to its 60-Second Film Festival.
Entries will be judged in February by site visitors and a panel of judges. Deadline is Nov. 15.
