Mr. Arthur Deas



Mr. Arthur Edward "Pat" Deas, 69, of Taylor Street, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert D. Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Walker Memorial Park.

Mr. Deas, a native of Florence, S.C., had retired as a construction worker. He was a Marine veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Deas; a daughter, Gwen Carr, Alabama; five step-sons, Danny Howard, Arnold Howard, Roddy Howard, Jackie Howard and Randy Howard, all of Augusta; and 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Danny Howard, Danny Howard Jr., Roddy Howard, Arnold Howard, Randy Howard and Jackie Howard.

Friends may call at the residence or at the funeral home.

The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
