Mr. William Melvin Lollis, 80, of Martin Lane, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, at Blair House.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue, with the Rev. Michael Davenport officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Lollis, a native of Belton, S.C., was the store manager for Furniture Sales and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Pine View Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, choir member, and Sunday School superintendent.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine B. Lollis; three sons, Bob Lollis, Edisto Beach, S.C., Larry Lollis, Easley, S.C., and Billy Lollis, Augusta; two sisters, Sarah William, Six Mile, S.C., and Virginia McCoy, Belton; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tom Wiedmeier, Donald Gray, W.C. Partridge, Guy Shaw, George Wilson and Hubert Conrad.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Pine View Baptist Church Men's Bible class.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
