Mr. James Tudor



Mr. James Marion "Jim" Tudor, 75, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. C.W. Edwards officiating.

Mr. Tudor, a native of Augusta, was a millwright and a supervisor with Deerfield Paper Co. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and had served in the merchant marines. He was a member of United Paper Makers Union and American Legion. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Betty M. Tudor; a son, James M. Tudor Jr., Ocala, Fla.; two step-daughters, Dixie Hord, Mooresville, N.C., and Sheryl Bergum, Appling; three sisters, Effie Baker, Cape Cod, Mass., and Betty Rhodes and Helen Pilcher, both of Augusta; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael King, James King, Grant Mattison, Jimmy Anderson, Jason Redmond and James Anderson.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1725, Augusta, GA 30904.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Poteet Funeral Home, Peach Orchard Road.
