SWAINSBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Roy Elliott Turner, 73, of Peebles Street, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, at Emanuel Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Johnson Funeral Home with the Revs. Timothy J. Nary and Walter Mann officiating. Burial will be in Swainsboro City Cemetery.
Mr. Turner, a native of Candler County, had retired as a farmer. He was a member of Swainsboro First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his wife, Essie Martin Turner; six sons, Glenn Turner and Virgil Turner, both of Swainsboro, William Turner, Thomson, Ronnie Turner, Cochran, Tollie Turner, Summertown, and Robbie "Bob" Turner, Dublin; two stepsons, Wendell McNure and Benton McNure, both of Swainsboro; and nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and a stepgreat-grandchild.
Friends may call at the residence of Glenn Turner, 446 Electric Drive.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
