Lexington at North Augusta, 8 p.m.

Coaches (records) -- Wildcats: Jimmy Satterfield (7-3 overall, 4-2 Region 3-AAAA) Yellow Jackets: Joe Long (6-4 overall, 3-3 Region 3-AAAA).

Key players -- Lexington: RB Demetrius Summers (Fr., 6-3, 180), QB Kris Clark (So., 5-10, 170). QB Anthony Young (Sr., 6-3, 185), RB Jamaal Johnson (Sr., 6-0, 180).

Game Notes: North Augusta suffered a 44-6 loss to Aiken last week and needs a victory tonight to have any playoff hopes. Lexington dropped out of the region title race after losing 31-28 last week to Irmo.Aiken at Airport, 8 p.m.

Coaches (records) -- Hornets: Carey Johnson (8-2 overall, 5-1 Region 3-AAAA). Eagles: Les Evans (5-5 overall, 3-3 Region 3-AAAA).

Key players -- Aiken: DE Marcus Simpkins (Sr, 6-3, 270), WR Brian Staley (Jr, 5-8, 161), QB Corey Ready (Jr, 5-11, 175). Airport: DL Nate McGee (Sr., 6-3, 285), OL Mike Sims (Sr., 6-4, 285).

Game Notes: The Hornets can clinch their first region title since 1993 with a win. The Eagles are coming off a 58-6 rout of South Aiken and are still playing for a playoff spot. Aiken's Simpkins was named state player of the week on Wednesday by scprepfootball.com.

McCormick at Blackville-Hilda, 8 p.m.

Records (coaches) -- Chiefs: Michael Allen (3-8 overall, 2-3 Region 1-A). Hawks: David Berry (8-2 overall, 5-1 Region 4-A).

Key players -- McCormick: QB Rondell Calhoun (Sr., 6-0, 180), DE Michael Chamberlain (Sr., 6-2, 215), DE Shaquavis Sales (Jr., 5-10, 165). Blackville: RB Joey Kemp (Sr., 5-7, 170), QB Raphael Isaac (Sr., 6-0, 170), RB Michael Williams (Sr., 5-10, 170).

Game Notes: Both teams lost their quarterbacks midway through the season, but got them back in time for the final run of the playoffs. The Chiefs' Rondell Calhoun and the Hawks Raphael Isaac both guide the run-oriented offenses for this Class A first-round playoff game.

Manning at Midland Valley, 8 p.m.

Coaches (records) -- Monarchs: Barry Avant (6-4, 3-4). Mustangs: Rick Knight (7-3 overall, 6-1 Region 4-AAA).

key players -- Manning: QBRB Brandon King (Jr., 5-11, 170), DB Ben Bennett (Sr., 5-9, 165). Midland Valley: TB Pele Williams (Sr., 5-7, 177), QB Morgan Quiller (Jr., 5-10, 170), K Josh Waters (Sr., 5-8, 130).

Game Notes: Manning played most of the season without star quarterback Maurease Cantey, who is doubtful for tonight's contest. Midland Valley is still pumped after last week's 17-14 victory where Waters kicked a field goal as time expired.

Bishop England at Silver Bluff, 8 p.m.

Coaches (records) -- Battling Bishops: Tony Orsini (4-6, 4th place 7-AA team) . Bulldogs: Al Lown (10-0 overall, 5-0 Region 6-AA).

Key players -- Bishop England: RB Decatur Wilson (Sr., 5-10, 170, RB Michael Givan (Jr., 5-8, 160). Silver Bluff: RB Marcus Jones (Sr., 5-10, 175), QB Jamie Williamson (Jr., 5-11, 165), LB Shawn Harris (So., 5-11, 174).

Game Notes: Silver Bluff has yet to lose a player to injury in its region title run. The Bishops will try to defeat the Bulldogs on a field where they haven't lost in two years.

Barnwell at Hanahan, 8 p.m.

Coaches (records) -- War Horses: Dwayne Garrick (5-5 overall, 2-3 Region 6-AA). Hawks: Jeff Cruce (9-1, Region 7-AA champion).

Key players -- Barnwell: QB Daniel Creech (Jr., 6-3, 185), WRDB Orlando Rivera (Jr., 5-10, 145), WR Ronnie Davis (Sr., 6-0, 170). Hanahan: QB John Little (Sr., 6-1, 180), RB Solomon Richardson (Sr., 5-11, 190).

Game Notes: This will be no cake walk for Hanahan. The War Horses and Hawks faced each other Sept. 10 with Hanahan winning 31-30 in overtime. Barnwell also gave Silver Bluff fits last week, losing only 20-17.
