Annual March of Dimes Open Team Tournament

Fort Gordon Recreation Area, Saturday, Oct. 30

Joey Zielinski and Robin Whisenant, seven bass, 21 pounds, 8 ounces, $1,120. Steve Foust and Joe Newman, seven bass, 15 pounds, 10 ounces, $672. Sean Ravenscroft and Wilson Ravenscroft, seven bass, 15 pounds, 6 ounces, $448. First big fish: Joey and Robin, 5 pounds, 12 ounces, $392. Second big fish: Tim Webb and Brad Richards, 5 pounds, 7 ounces, $168. Twenty-seven teams caught 180 bass weighing 308-11 and all were released alive. Fifty-six teams competed. The Augusta Bassmasters raised $500 in advertising and the tournament netted $570 for the March of Dimes.

Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Open Team Bass Tournament

Hosted by Midland Bassmasters, tournament hours are safe light until 3 p.m. First place a guaranteed minimum $1,000, with second through sixth place getting 70 percent of field entry. Entry fee is $50 per team plus one new unwrapped toy and $10 optional for big fish pot. Drawing for boat positions will be held Thursday, Nov. 4, at Henna Chevrolet on the Aiken-Augusta Highway at 8 p.m. Late registration will be accepted at the tournament site. Broadway Tackle 9th Annual Fall Classic Open Individual Bass Tournament

Nov. 13, Lake Springs

Tournament hours safe light until 4 p.m. Entry fee is $50 plus $10 big fish pot. 90 percent payback, paying one place for every 10 entries. Drawing to be held at Broadway Tackle, 1730 Broad Street at the Canal, on Thursday, Nov. 11, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., with refreshments and door prizes. Clark Hill Bassmasters Open Team Tournament

Registration will be held on site from 4:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m., tournament day, and tournament hours are from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Entry fee is $40 plus $10 optional big fish pot. Entry fee is $550 per team (includes big fish). Entry fee $25. Regular tournaments are sponsored by Chuck's Lakeside Marine and Willoughby Ford of Thomson, Ga., and will be held every Saturday from safe light until 3 p.m. Tournaments will not be held when dates conflict with Clark Hill Committee events. Classic will be held next February with a guaranteed purse of $2,000 for first-place team. Entry fee is $50 per team, $10 of which goes into the big fish pot.
