AIKEN -- Mrs. Juanita Hubbard New, 60, of Sandy Springs Road, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at her residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Batesburg, with the Revs. Ken Weathers, Jim Kirk and Carl Brown officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. New, a native of Oglethorpe County, Ga., was the past director of Helping Hands, Aiken, and was founder and executive director of New Transition Homes Inc. She was a member of South Carolina Foster Parents Association and was in Who's Who Among International Business Executives. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James L. New Sr.; five sons, Martin L. Edwards, Graniteville, Sidney L. Edwards, New Ellenton, and Douglas Wayne Edwards, James L. New Jr. and Michael Lewis New, all of Aiken; two daughters, Doris E. Singleton, Aiken, and Marie E. Williams, New Ellenton; five brothers, Charlie Hubbard, Stephens, Ga., William "Rock" Hubbard, Lexington, Ga., Herman Hubbard, Hull, Ga., James Hubbard, Union Point, Ga., and Emory Hubbard, Clayton, Ga.; one sister, Geneva Taylor, Waverly Hall, Ga.; and 13 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ray Scott, Clark Smith, Greg Stanford, Michael Hunt, Richard Abney, Eddie George, Frank Strickland, Debro Auvenshine and Carl Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Kitchen Mill Men's Club and deacons of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday at Napier Funeral Home, Graniteville.
